Measure LogNo collection by the app
Measure Log has no account, advertising, analytics, or tracking code, and it does not send your entries to Neue School. Your log stays on your iPhone. The only times anything leaves the device are the optional location and map features and sharing an entry, both described below.
What stays on your device
Names, dimensions, units, optional weight, notes, and up to five resized photo copies per entry are stored in a protected local file excluded from device backups. Default units are stored in app preferences. Editing or deleting an entry updates or removes its saved photo copies. Original library photos are never modified. The native photo picker shares only images you select; Apple may retrieve selected iCloud images. Measure Log does not upload your images.
Optional camera features
Camera permission is requested only when you choose to take a photo or estimate a distance. Camera measurement processes the live view on your iPhone using ARKit. The app does not save camera-measurement video or upload camera images. Only an estimated distance you choose to use becomes part of your editable entry. Shape previews are generated locally from entered dimensions.
Ruler and levels
The digital ruler stores your calibration and display size in app preferences. Bubble and straight levels use local motion-sensor readings while the tool is open. Readings are not stored or transmitted. Sensor updates stop when you leave the level tool or the app is inactive.
Optional location
Location is off until you tap Use current location, or turn on automatic location tagging in Settings. Only then does iOS ask for permission, and only while the app is in use. The coordinates and a place name are saved with that entry on your iPhone. To look up the place name and to draw maps, the location is sent to Apple Maps services under Apple’s privacy policy; Neue School never receives it. You can remove a pinned location from any entry, and turn off permission in iPhone Settings.
Sharing entries
When you choose Share, the entry you picked (including its photos, notes and any pinned location) is handed to the app or person you select, such as Messages, Mail or AirDrop. Nothing is shared automatically. Save to Photos adds a copy of a measurement photo to your photo library; the app asks only for permission to add photos, not to read them.
Your choices
You can revoke optional permissions in iPhone Settings. Deleting the app removes its local app container; any separately existing system backups or source photos are controlled by you and Apple. The app does not use iCloud sync. iOS may include app preferences in a device backup.
Support email
If you email us, your email address and the information you send are processed by our email provider and used to respond. Do not send sensitive information that is unnecessary for support.
This website
These pages contain no cookies, analytics, tracking scripts, third-party fonts, or forms. When deployed, the hosting provider may process ordinary request information such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver and secure the website.
